Working Out - Phase One - Month 3

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe new year's  - I think I was in bed by 10 PM (lol).  Well here we are at the end of month 3 and starting on month 4.  I feel great about my workout schedule and am at the gym almost every day, first thing in the morning.  From an milestone  perspective, I can now do three sets of seven chin-ups (more biceps)  and three sets of  three pull-ups (more back).....  a month ago I could not do one pull-up! My weight has been pretty consistent  for the last two months at 190 lbs and my strength is steadily increasing.

Looking back over the last three months, I have to say the biggest benefit of the workout has been how it helps me completely block out everything else going on in my life... no matter how pressing.  It's like a magic reset button whereby I walk into the gym feeling one way and then walk out with my mind completely clear; all that piece of mind for a 45 minute commitment!

  • I might try to subscribe to a workout magazine to see if I can pick up on any tips or suggestions to improve my workout.  If I see anything of interest I'll post it here.
